Lily Ashley

Lily Ashley is a unique artist, having trained at the Ecole Phillip Gaulier she falls under multiple titles as an actor, performer and poet. As one half of the group “Voo Le Voo” she has performed at iconic London venues such as The V&A museum, Brasserie Zédel, The Laylow and The Shacklewell arms. In 2018 she co-conceived and performed “Mary Mary Quite Contrary” with Powerplay theatre at the Cockpit Theatre, a show which explores Witch Craft in the 16th and 17th century. Most recently she has worked with Carmen Mueck on a highly anticipated short film for the BBC , Lily’s acting repertoire is ever growing.

Lily has written poetry for Selfridges, Gaimpierro Bodoni and MiH Jeans, 2017 saw Lily publish “Hell-p Me” with Grace Pilkington and James Messiah, better known as the poetry collective; Little grape Jelly. The writings are an amalgamation of reactionary record sprawled over ten months with the main focus falling on a theme of ‘Social Obligation.’ She has performed her poetry at a number of prominent events and venues including The Hay Literary Festival, HowTheLightsGetIn, Brainchild and The Cortauld Gallery. Her prominent position within arts culture has been noticed by the fashion world, where she has been shot by Dazed, Injenuine and Office Magazine. Lily is also a regular sitter for up and coming photographer William Waterworth.
