Eve Annecke
Eve Annecke is a Bertha Fellow exploring an independent inquiry into the art and power of retreat. She is a teacher and writer, with a special focus on retreat-based work, facliitating transgressive and transformative learning. In South Africa she co-founded Lynedoch Development, Lynedoch EcoVillage, Lynedoch Children’s House and the Sustainability Institute.
Eve's masters’ level teaching is in leading transitions, ecological ethics and other ways of knowing. Her work at Schumacher College, UK, spans 26 years as participant, facilitator and teacher in story, ecology and spiritualites. She is currently curating an essay series on Re-imagining Activisms in 2020, when we are sure of nothing and a teaching series on decolonising through Pedagogies of Sanctuary. Her intrigue with the feminine as un-gendered ways of being includes co-designing the Aura Fellowship for women activists. She continues her lifelong connection with children through creating a Rights of Nature declaration at Lynedoch EcoVillage with a group of ten year olds.
