MAY#
APOCALYPSE
cycles / loss / time / seeds / grief
What does it mean to live at the end of an era – at a time when our stories are destroying us and darkness is rising? What ancient cultures have been shaped by ongoing destruction to their lifeways while continuing to respond and survive? How do we live amidst the falling of one civilisation, and also carry the seeds of the rising of a post-apocalyptic world? What inner and outer work must we do – of healing, witnessing, engaging – so that our undoing can lead to our becoming?
The Study Club will begin by following the threads of these questions – offering a selection of curated content (essays, podcasts and short films) each month – by writers, activists and artists exploring these themes in their work. In the session, we will come together to reflect on our collective insights, and how we can apply the learning to our social change work.
This space is for people seeking to dive beneath the surface of everyday engagement – and to dedicate the time to learn, think, be inspired and nourished in their practices.
