What if we were able to get to the root of cultural crises - from mental health to ecological breakdown? What if we were able to transform cultures by transforming the ways in which we inhabited our bodies?#

What are the deeper solutions to the challenges of our times? The ones that lie beneath superficial narratives that we know will only recreate the same oppressive systems that have caused such suffering to ecosystems and communities?

When we understand that lying at the root of behaviours that cause harm is often embedded trauma we can start to relate to each other a lot more compassionately and understand that ideas/actions don’t arise out of a vacuum.

In order to change, we need to become aware of how we are interacting with the world around us. Somatics and physical self-awareness is essential to breaking free from oppressive systems and stories that are either internal or external to ourselves.

Through eight live interactive presentations followed by discussions and pre-recorded somatic practices, you will experience some of the most effective approaches to somatics and embodiment for transformation.#

Topics will include Bodyfulness, Somatic Experiencing, Fascia Informed Movement, Movement Medicine, mythosomatics, TRE and so much more. While all unique, what connects these different approaches is the ancient knowledge, now backed by the latest neuroscience research, ‘that the only way we can change the way we feel is by becoming aware of our inner experience and learning to befriend what is going on inside ourselves’ (Bessel Van Der Kolk).

“I have come to the conclusion that human beings are born with an innate capacity to triumph over trauma. I believe not only that trauma is curable, but that the healing process can be a catalyst for profound awakening—a portal opening to emotional and genuine spiritual transformation.” - Peter Levine
