links mental health and climate change

This event will be delving deep into the connections around the climate crisis, consumerism and mental health offering each of the attendees practical solutions and advice in these challenging times. It will touch upon the current science and draw from contemplative traditions to highlight the importance of community, celebration, action and awareness.

The event will consist of a 45 minute talk followed by 45 minutes of discussion and a short meditative practice.

People find it hard to talk about mental health and environmental destruction because the way we live is often part of the problem. But the fear, guilt and aversion around facing our reality and doing something about it is preventing action, awareness and conversation – the three things we really need right now. We all have the power to make a difference and we can all be part of the solution. Small acts, when multiplied by millions of people, can transform the world.

About Advaya#

Advaya is a social change platform seeking solutions to the interconnected crises of environmental destruction and mental health. We see the crises we are faced with today as a call to radical action: an opportunity to evolve, to come together and co-create. We inspire and empower young people and change makers to become activists for a better world, addressing narratives of disempowerment and exploring how to lead authentic lives in harmony with nature. We seek transformation at an individual and collective level while cultivating purposeful lives of connection and belonging.

We have a number of concession tickets available at a discounted price of £12.00 for those on a lower income. Please email ruby@advayainitiative.com
