Tawai: A Voice From the Forest
Talk with Bruce Parry
Join us for evening exploring the forests of Borneo with explorer Bruce Parry, who will be hosting a post screening Q&A.
Monday 12th February 2018, 7:00pm–10:00pm UK Time The Regent Street Cinema, 307 Regent St, W1B 2HW
Tawai is the word used by nomadic hunter-gatherers of Borneo to describe their inner feeling of connection to nature. In this dreamy, philosophical and sociological look at life, Bruce Parry travels the world to explore the ways in which different people imagine the relationship between humans and the natural world. From the jungles of Malaysia to the tributaries of the Amazon, Tawai is a quest for reconnection, evoking the powerful voice of the forest itself.
