Advaya Healing Space At Virgo Festival 2016

Virgo is settled among the rolling hills and enchanting woodland of Devon. For one weekend eight-hundred people gathered for an intimate festival in one of Devon’s most historical estates, showcasing some top quality underground sounds.

Advaya’s Healing Space, overlooking the lake, offered the festival-goers an opportunity to take a step back from the raucous partying for some yoga, sound healing, meditation, talks and ceremonies. We also had two wonderful masseuses and reiki practitioners on hand for those who were in real need of some tender loving care.

Our beautiful yurt was right next to the groovy Kabila Chai Café and Trewhitts Café who were serving wholesome, delicious and filling vegan delights throughout the festival. Right in front of us the wonderful Gaskell Garden Project, a Manchester-based organization advancing social and emotional wellbeing of local refugees and asylum seekers, put together a creative safe space.

We were blessed with stunning weather and pure feel-good vibes throughout the whole festival. Each morning began with yoga followed by sound healing. During the day art therapy, Vinyasa Krama Yoga classes and guided meditation was on offer while individuals gave talks Amazonian Frog Medicine, Freedom and Mayan Cosmology.

Having the opportunity to offer healing, mind opening and therapeutic experiences to the Virgo-goers was such an honour. Despite whatever state they were in, or had been in the night before, they faces were beaming with smiles. We cannot wait to do it again this year! Make sure you get your tickets soon!
